By following Al Gore’s example, if I sell my SUV… oh wait… he has one. Ok, well, if I keep my SUV and buy a private jet which I will fly around in regularly to talk about global warming, how will that make me more carbon neutral?

How can I raise my Carbon Emissions higher than 57.15?

Any suggestions on how I can be LESS carbon neutral?
I went to Al Gore’s website, where there is an inconvenient truth carbon calculator (what a joke) and I can only get a 57.15 rating (legitimentaly) as I do not have access to personal jets and limousines, like Gore does. I wonder what he scored, anyway I am thinking about driving more, or maybe buying a larger vehicle and letting it idle more often, to burn more fuel.

hi, wanted to know if any of you were “Carbon Neutral”? if so, how are you achieving this? is there Yahoo Answers in the afterlife? or are you all some sort of carbonless hybrid humans who have payed enough carbon credits to pay for experimental surgery to filter your respiratory system and breath out hydrogen? please enlighten me….
heres something to be enlightened by…. if you didnt catch the sarcasm.. the only way u can truly be carbon neutral is if you decided to kill yourself… your emitting co2 as you read this..but hey.. ur saving the polar bears right..

now this isnt about whether global warming is real. its about going carbon neutral which is sensible considering oil and coal prices will get higher anyway and alternatives are the future. what do you think of this news though?

I did some research and found out that Gore is quite the global traveler. He flies a private jet pretty much everywhere, which consumes about 2,750 gallons of fuel for a one way trip from NY to LA. If you consider that he flies this route 10 times, and believe me he flies a lot more, it is equal to driving the monstrous Hummer H1 (13 mpg) around the circumferance of the earth 10.82 times. Who does he think he is kidding?

“How do “carbon offsets” work? Well, let’s say you’re a former vice president and you want to reduce your “carbon footprint,” but the gorgeous go-go Gore gals are using the hair dryer every night. So you go to a carbon-credits firm and pay some money and they’ll find a way of getting somebody on the other side of the planet to reduce his emissions and the net result will be “carbon neutral.” It’s like in Henry VIII’s day. He’d be planning a big ox roast and piling on the calories but he’d give a groat to a starving peasant to carry on starving for another day and the result would be calorie-neutral.”

Is Al-Gore the next King Henry VIII?(or would IX be more appropriate?)
